[024] Audio/Action Ecruteak

[When China wakes, he can see that he's in the Pokemon Center and that it's the afternoon, for the sun is peeking through the blinds. He's on a bed and lying beside him are Li, Cao Cao, and Meimei. Cixi is at the foot of his bed. They all awake when they feel him move. Li and Meimei shout in joy and nuzzle their master's face. Cao Cao nudges China's cheek with his face. Cixi sits up and simply nods at him, meaning "It took you long enough to finally awake."]

[However, when China sits up himself, he feels that there is something wrong. Li and Meimei give him a nervous look before Li takes a hand mirror into his mouth to give to China. The Nation looks into it and his eyes widen in absolute horror. Cao Cao snickers and turns the gear to audio just before China lets out a...]

GRAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!

[Anyone that was tuning in most likely just had their eardrums burst and those within or around the Center will hear China's scream. He screams so loud that he's sure to have a sore throat the next day.]

[OOC: The whole "GRAAAH" thing is a link, just watch the few seconds of the video where China screams... Also, China will be looking different for the next few weeks. And yes, that actually is an official drawing from the creator of Hetalia.]

Yeah, at least there's that.

[When the dreams are mentioned, though, Envy frowns.] Yeah, a lot of them. You were in two.

How much do you remember?

I remember seeing you in my own dream and then I found you running away from this large gate that contained several eyes, aru. Then, for some reason, my left eye was missing, but it's back now.
exeggutorhead: (thoughtful)

[action] herpderp so I figured we should do some more on this one first

[personal profile] exeggutorhead 2011-07-27 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, the Gate... [Envy frowns at the memory of what had happened in the dreams.] I remember your eye being missing there too. Was there a reason?

[action] It's fine~ :3

[identity profile] gochuugoku.livejournal.com 2011-07-27 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
[China shakes his head.] No, I can't think of any reason it was missing, aru. It just... wasn't there.

The Gate... I think you mentioned something about it being the source of alchemy in your world, aru. Did you?
exeggutorhead: (what I am)

[action]

[personal profile] exeggutorhead 2011-07-27 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
That's right.

[He hesitates a moment.] It's where I came from, too.

[action] Sorry, LJ is being slow as hell to me right now :|

[identity profile] gochuugoku.livejournal.com 2011-07-27 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
You did? But how...?
exeggutorhead: (what I am)

[action] Yeah same, at least it's working at all :/

[personal profile] exeggutorhead 2011-07-27 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
When an alchemist tries to get a human life out of the Gate...that's not something it can give. There's no exchange high enough. So it gives one of its own instead, and mixes it with the human form and memories the alchemist was trying to get.

Those eyes and arms you saw belonged to the Gate's children. It's hard to explain, and it was a long time ago for me.

[action] True D:

[identity profile] gochuugoku.livejournal.com 2011-07-28 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
Of course there's no exchange high enough for a human life, aru. [Wasn't that obvious by itself?]

So, then does that mean you used to be one of those...?
exeggutorhead: (bitchface)

[action]

[personal profile] exeggutorhead 2011-07-28 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, tell that to the damn alchemists. [There is definitely some bitterness showing right there.]

Yeah, used to be. Used to be human too. Homunculi are the abominations stuck somewhere between the two sides.

[action] Okay, the other thread keeps giving me errors D:

[identity profile] gochuugoku.livejournal.com 2011-07-28 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
Have so many of them really tried such a thing, because... I've done some alchemy before myself, but never, did I think about attempting to bring a person back to life, aru. The spirits should not be disturbed from their sleep.

There are more beings like you, then, right? [He thinks he remembers Envy telling him something about that.]
exeggutorhead: (calm)

[action] no rush!

[personal profile] exeggutorhead 2011-07-29 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
It's too hard to even attempt for most people, but enough alchemists are arrogant or stupid or desperate enough to try. I don't know how many actually make it. There's six of us that I know of including me, and all but Greed follow my master. He ran off on his own. [He waves a hand somewhat dismissively.]

[He half grins, and realizes that maybe he should actually approach China instead of just standing in the middle of the room like an idiot. He grabs a chair to pull with him so that he can sit.]
You're smart to think like that though. What sort of alchemy can you do? France said there wasn't any in your world.

[action]

[identity profile] gochuugoku.livejournal.com 2011-07-29 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
There is alchemy in our world, aru. It's just different from your world's. In my country, we mainly used alchemy for medical purposes. Me and other Chinese alchemists were trying to find the elixir of life, but we stumbled upon gunpowder instead, aru. [He was sitting cross legged on the bed now.]

Then in the Western World, alchemy came to center on the transmutation of base metals into noble ones, but there were some who sought what is called the "philosopher's stone," which is the Western equivalent to the elixir of life, aru.
exeggutorhead: (hmm?)

[personal profile] exeggutorhead 2011-07-29 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I've heard that Xing uses medicinal alchemy in my world too.

...France mentioned that, about turning metal into gold. Easy enough, but illegal. [He smirks a little.] It'd do bad things to the economy.

[At the mention of the Philosopher's Stone, though, he leans forward slightly, clearly much more interested in that than anything else.] Do you know if anyone ever succeeded, or how they went about trying?

[He can't help but remember the abandoned city in China's dream, or how England had spoken of a large scale war.]

[action]

[identity profile] gochuugoku.livejournal.com 2011-07-31 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
I would really like to visit Xing, aru. If it is so similar to China, then perhaps I won't feel as homesick when I travel there.

It certainly would and we don't need anymore problems with the economy in my world, aru.

[China shakes his head.] No, no one has been successful so far. It is the same with the elixir of life, no one in China has succeeded, aru. What about in your world? Has anyone succeeded, aru?
