[024] Audio/Action Ecruteak

[When China wakes, he can see that he's in the Pokemon Center and that it's the afternoon, for the sun is peeking through the blinds. He's on a bed and lying beside him are Li, Cao Cao, and Meimei. Cixi is at the foot of his bed. They all awake when they feel him move. Li and Meimei shout in joy and nuzzle their master's face. Cao Cao nudges China's cheek with his face. Cixi sits up and simply nods at him, meaning "It took you long enough to finally awake."]

[However, when China sits up himself, he feels that there is something wrong. Li and Meimei give him a nervous look before Li takes a hand mirror into his mouth to give to China. The Nation looks into it and his eyes widen in absolute horror. Cao Cao snickers and turns the gear to audio just before China lets out a...]

GRAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!

[Anyone that was tuning in most likely just had their eardrums burst and those within or around the Center will hear China's scream. He screams so loud that he's sure to have a sore throat the next day.]

[OOC: The whole "GRAAAH" thing is a link, just watch the few seconds of the video where China screams... Also, China will be looking different for the next few weeks. And yes, that actually is an official drawing from the creator of Hetalia.]

Well, I won't be losing more hair, aru. I'll make sure of that. [He glares off camera at his Trapinch Cao Cao.]

[China opens his mouth to object--well, okay. He has been mistaken for a girl before. Some people couldn't even tell if he was a man or a woman.]

It's an old tradition in my country for the men to grow their hair long, aru. Besides, it suits me better in my opinion.

Go ahead and look like a woman, then. [Romano can't understand but since it's an old tradition, he'll keep to himself on this case.]

Is it tradition for women to cut their hair short?

[Action]

[identity profile] gochuugoku.livejournal.com 2011-07-05 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
No, women usually grow their hair long too, aru. Many of them keep it in a bun, or a braid, or a ponytail.

Although, sometimes they'll cut it if they're in the army, aru.

[Before Romano has a chance to reply, Virgilio reminds him of just how hungry he is. Nuvole and all the other gather around him as well, determined to find out who was keeping their tiny trainer. He looks off camera for a moment and tries to multitask between giving them their food and insulting talking to China.]

Your women are as weird as your men. They join the army, cut their hair, act like men... why don't they act like women?

They do act like women, aru. At least in Asian standards they do. I'm aware that things are different in the Western world, aru.

Still, they are beautiful, they have nice clothing, and sometimes they fight too. They can wield a sword just as good as a man, aru.

[He thinks over China's words as he hands otu the snacks to his team. Once that's done, he settles down and gives China back his attention.]

But why do you let them fight, dumb ass? That doesn't make any sense.

[identity profile] gochuugoku.livejournal.com 2011-07-05 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Why not let them fight?

The images of exotic concubines and painted women in China so... what's that word... cliche. Though women like that did exist, my country has also brought in several female fighters as well, aru.

In the past, the husbands loved their wives not only for their beauty, but for their wisdom too, and respected them as equals. There's even a historical record on a woman during the Taiping Rebellion that had command of 2000 female soldiers.

[For most of China's explanation, Romano's found himself a large snack and has started munching away.]

I didn't ask for a whole history lesson. Whatever. You're done crying about your precious hair, at least.

[identity profile] gochuugoku.livejournal.com 2011-07-05 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, we've had this talk before, Romano. Yet you keep asking me why we let women fight in my country and I keep giving you a similar answer, aru.

Basically, the East is different from the West.

[Oh, he knows. He just likes giving China a hard time since he gets so riled up about it.]

The East is also boring as hell.

[China pouts.]

But you haven't been there yet, aru! ...Have you?

[His memory is going now.]

[identity profile] piccolo-tomate.livejournal.com 2011-07-06 03:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[...China is making this too easy~. Romano smirks.]

Of course I've seen the East. I've traveled there loads of times, stupid. [DUMBASSSSS]

Oh, so then it's around those years... [He murmurs something to himself in Mandarin.]

Well, then, forgive my mistake then, aru.

Although, if what you said is true, then you have seen our women first hand.

You're forgiven. It's not everyday that you get to talk to a nation who's been all around the world. [He'll milk this for all it's worth...]

[identity profile] gochuugoku.livejournal.com 2011-07-11 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[China continues to pout.] I've been all over the world too, aru.

Besides, I'm the one who provided you and the other Europeans with silk. [He's got a few tricks up his sleeve to.]
