[026] Video/Action
[When China turns on the feed, it's easy to tell he's sitting at the Pokemon Center, except he's not in Ecruteak anymore. He smiles at the camera.]
Nihao! I was hoping to give away all these eggs, aru.
[He moves the camera for it to focus on the eggs, which are all snuggled into a red warm blanket within a basket. After letting the camera take it all in for two minutes, China moves it back onto himself.]
I have Eevee, Dratini, and Bagon eggs. I can be found at the Center in Goldenrod and I can assure you that they'll all grow up to be just as beautiful and powerful as their mothers!
[If you look carefully, you might notice something moving under China's white sweater as well as a baby Chikorita napping on his lap. Oh, and hey! His hair's grown back and is now in it's usual ponytail once again!]
[OOC: There is still time to get an egg! There's one more Bagon slot open and two more Dratini slots! Here is the link.]

[He leans back in his chair a bit, though not before checking on the eggs.]

If anyone from your world were to show up here, who would you want it to be?
[action]
I'd very much like to see a colleague of mine again. Albert Rosenfield. A good man, despite first impressions. Hasn't got much in him for social niceities. Unlike Sheriff Harry Truman; one of the kindest people I know and who has stood by me on numerous occasions in a very short period of time.
[He misses them.]

[Right?]

[He brings Mei-Fan closer to him and regains his usual calm exterior.]
He was only two years old when he ascended to the throne, aru. I was with the officials and the eunuchs when they came to his family's household to retrieve him. He cried and struggled a lot when they picked him up, aru.

It seemed as though we both had our childhoods stolen from us.
[After going through so many revolutions and civil wars that clashed with his traditional beliefs as well as the new ones that had been introduced to him, China's respect for his past royal families was not as deep as before, but that didn't mean it was completely gone. They were a part of his history after all.]

[It's encouragement, coming from Coop, really.]

I was torn on the decision of who to side with, but the only relief I felt was that they did not kill him. He was able to die an old man, aru.
[China waves a hand and gives Cooper a bittersweet smile.]
Oh, sorry, I always get caught up in the conversation when it comes to the past. I do not mean to sound selfish, aru.
[action]
[Which is true.]
[action]
[He looks at Cooper, hinting.]

If there's anything you'd like to know, just ask.

Forgive me if this is too personal, but why do you react to birds in such a way?
[action]
When I was fourteen a bird flew into the hardware store where I grew up. The owner of the store attempted to scare it off with a broom, but it panicked and flew directly at my head. Its claws got tangled in my hair.
Mr. Simms - that was the owner - knocked me in the face with the broom handle in the commotion that followed. Sent me to the floor, the bird into an air duct. It was chopped up by a fan. All in all it was fairly traumatic.
[There's another silence - but there's more to say about it, and leaning back slightly, he does.]
My mother died a year later. She'd told me about a dream she kept having ... a dream where birds filled the sky. I know it frightened her but I never understood why.
I know what it sounds like to others, but I believe that dream is at least in part responsible for her death.
[The other parts are the other dreams ... dreams he also had. He finishes with some sadness in his voice, but there's not a lot left to say on that topic. He just ... finds it hard to like birds.]
[action]
I am sorry to hear about your mother, although, I believe you when you say that the dream was partly responsible for her death. Our wills and minds are quite strong and have more impact on us than some people think, aru.

[He looks out the window, eyes a little clouded, before he quite suddenly shares another tidbit:]
The first life I took was a bird's.
